• deals with the continuous evaluation of the State Environmental Policy of the Czech Republic (SEP),
• contributes to the SEP updates,
• evaluates the accomplishment of environmental (component) policies,
• evaluates the mutual integration of the SEP and policies of other ministries and evaluates the policies of other ministries (e.g. transport, agriculture, industry) from the point of view of environmental impact (within the Cardiff process),
• cooperates on environmental legislation,
• contributes to the accomplishment of the objective of the Sustainable Development Strategy of the Czech Republic within the Strategy Situation Report.
