National Cleaner Production Centre is a member of the UNIDO-UNEP network of National Cleaner Production Centers.

Main activities of the Czech National Cleaner Production Center:

• It fulfils the function of the Agency of the National Cleaner Production Programme and the National Centre of Cleaner Production within the Programme of National Centres of Cleaner Productions operated by members of UNEP/UNIDO
• collects and processes information on Cleaner Production,
• creates information databases (case studies, Cleaner Production consultants, projects),
• cooperates with relevant national and international organizations,
• promotes the concept of Cleaner Production in practice.

Cleaner Production Centre Brno

The regional centre in Brno has successfully prepared about 150 Cleaner Production projects, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The projects involve the food industry, agriculture, forestry, engineering, textile, chemical and wood-processing industries, hospitals, schools and projects addressing problems of municipalities and cities.

These projects often focus on lowering the energy consumption of the production processes. Successful livestock and vegetable production projects have also been implemented. Health-care facility projects have had positive results as well.

The activities of the Cleaner Production Centre Brno are carried out in cooperation with the National Cleaner production Center.
